Sony has today released a new PS5 promotion that will hog TV commercial breaks, highlighting the sort of pulse-racing experiences available on its current-gen machine. The new branding is named Feel it Now, and you can watch the 60-second advert above.
Featuring a woman playing out the roles of various PlayStation characters, we see God of War Ragnarok, Returnal, Hogwarts Legacy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Horizon Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and The Last of Us all included in the ad. There's also a cameo from Peter Parker and Miles Morales swinging in the background of one shot midway through. The advert is set to the tune of someone's heartbeat, concluded by the hospital monitor at the end.
This may be the promotion you see Sony using as we enter the Christmas season, with the new PS5 Slim set to boost sales of the system for the coming months. What do you make of this new ad? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

I love my PS5 but I really don't get this ad. All of those games are either already or soon-to-be playable on PC.
@Foxhound The sort of audience these adverts are designed to target don’t care about something like that. It’s for the casual market, not hardcore people.
Pretty sure a good showcase would get peoples pulses racing more.
Ad (sic) it to the long list of great PlayStation trailers.
Not in my Top 5 but still solid. It got my pulse racing.
It’s a beautifully produced promo. The focus is on escapism and emotion, leaning hard into narrative heavy, single player adventure rather than the typical battle royale multiplayer slugfest. I like it, even if it almost feels it needs a disclaimer warning that PlayStation can’t, in fact, cure depression.
@Foxhound so?
Even if games are on pc doesnt mean you cant play it on Playstation.
Not all people want to sit with a pc.
This ad is just stupid.
Their new slogans "Feel it now" and "Feel a new real" for VR are terrible.
Bit rubbish that one.
Great Ad. Will hit with the overwhelming numbers of casual gamers out there, even if nit pickers in forums like this will moan as they always do.
Sales figures don't lie, they are connecting with the people they need to.
this is something the ps3 would’ve done with weird ads like this. i get the message but the playstation of today just makes this seem pompous.
also - “ The focus is on escapism and emotion, leaning hard into narrative heavy, single player adventure rather than the typical battle royale multiplayer slugfest.”
😂🤣😂 thanks for the laugh ! all this to say you just don’t like multiplayer . Video games in itself (despite the genre) is escapism & there’s definitely plenty emotion to be had with playing with others . That said though , i wish sony would branch out with different forms of that escapism again besides the same tired slow-paced interactive movie RPG .
I wish they evolved the sound design a bit more rather than just that boring heart beat. Should have started bleeding in cool SFX to match all the crazy visuals.
Wow, this ad just screams bad to me.
PushSquare have forgotten to mistakenly label the article with "New PS5 Slim advert"
I'm very disappointed, after weeks of "PS5 Slim this, PS5 Slim that" articles 😁
Was that a motorstorm/twisted metal teaser at the end?
@Americansamurai1 I hope so lol. Motorstorm needs to come back. Surely!
I'm whinging about first party SP content all the time and I haven't even played the 3 games in the video thumbnail. Bit rich isn't it? Think i'll finally install HFW and look into GOWR for Christmas.
@LiamCroft But who in the "casual market" will suddenly want to buy a PS5 after looking at this ad? What is there to see here that could make the main audience of Playstation break their restraint and finally buy a PS5?
Still no news on an actual release date for the new models?
It certainly did not get my pulse racing, I'll tell you that.
Nothing will beat "For the Players since 1995“, the UK PS4 advert (available on YouTube). The music, the pop culture references, the switch out for all the slim versions of the consoles on the fly. Man, as someone who has lived through all PS iterations the nostalgia cuts deep with that one
@Foxhound Just fun to watch, it ain't that deep
@Foxhound If I don't own a PS5 and I see this especially as someone who doesn't play that much these ads would make me consider one for sure.
Great advert and very diverse and inclusive to match todays society and political correctness ideaology. I cant find anything wrong with it.
While these ads mostly feel redundant to us diehards, I really do love PlayStations live action trailers.
@nomither6 Hard to have a discussion if you don’t tag me 😂 I have nothing against multiplayer and regularly play Fall Guys. I was commenting on the advertisement, nothing more. Selling a deeply personal experience rather than a communal one is a markedly different marketing strategy from what I’ve seen over the last few years. Also, I find the correlation between social climate and marketing fascinating. I don’t find the ad pompous, rather it reflects a current social climate in which real violence is particularly visible, and a campaign focused on how much fun it is to shoot your friends in the face likely resonates less than one of escape.
@Jimmer-jammer i did that on purpose, when i made that comment i decided to just leave it out in the open, and leave it up to chance if you saw it; didnt want to come off as "toxic" i guess.
thanks for explaining though, & youre right - their marketing strategy makes a lot of sense even though i dont like it.
